Le Monde Imaginaire

Le Monde Imaginaire

An installation where visitors describe their imaginary world out loud, and watch it appear, generated in real time and projected at large scale.

Le Monde Imaginaire explores the enchantment of the real through dreams and the collective unconscious. Its curator, Feriel Bouattour Ben Ammar, frames it as an invitation to cross the threshold of the known and explore other worlds, personal or collective. EFFET MÈRE co-creates the technological experience, in partnership with Epson. The device is a voice-driven interactive installation: a visitor describes their imaginary world out loud, speech is turned into image through AI-assisted generation, then projected at large scale. Imagination is no longer recounted, it is visualised live. The piece rests on one simple shift. The viewer stops standing in front of the work and becomes its source. The system does the producing, but their voice configures it. Exhibited 22 to 25 May 2025. Exhibiting artists include Majed Zalila, Akacha and Alia Derouiche.
