Visual identity and a running series of motion pieces for Spicy Sofi, built on liminal architecture rather than on footage of the party.

Spicy Sofi is a Paris DJ and a Morninglory resident, playing retro-futuristic electro with minimal grooves and the expansive end of nineties progressive house. FMRXR holds the visual identity: a wordmark, a visual language, and a running series of motion pieces for social media, edition after edition. The images never show the party. They show the places a party leaves behind. Empty corridors, staircases that lead nowhere in particular, rooms lit from a source outside the frame, in orange, magenta and violet, with chrome surfaces catching iridescence. Liminal architecture, built rather than filmed. It is an afters aesthetic, the hours when the night is over and nobody has left, and it reads instantly on a phone because the image is lit rather than decorated. The wordmark follows the same logic: extruded three-dimensional type with a chrome holographic finish, set against flat heavy capitals, so the thing that shines sits on top of the thing that holds. Spicy Afters is the first series inside this identity, running across editions, with a party at Babour Sauvage in Paris among them. Others follow.
